Bio
Alison Trick is a talented, experienced solo performer, voice & piano teacher whose life, love, and travels have brought her to live in the United States. A British citizen, Alison was trained by internationally renowned Joseph Ward OBE and Britain’s beloved Mollie Petrie. Alison is a Voice Graduate of England’s prestigious Royal Northern College of Music and a Music postgraduate of Bath Spa University College. She qualified to teach piano at the tender age of 15 and is an Associate of the National College of Music, London.
Her solo performances include Handel’s Messiah in Wells Cathedral, Mozart’s Grand Mass in C Minor in Clifton Cathedral, Bristol, guest appearances with the University of the West of England Choir and Orchestra and numerous solo engagements with choral societies including Chew Valley Choral Society and The Phoenix Choir. She has toured Scandinavia with Radio Manchester Chorale, singing in Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark.
Alison has for over twenty five years taught singing, piano, theory and general musicianship privately and in schools throughout England. She has set up and trained choirs and is an accomplished pianist and accompanist.
Alison worked as Voice Coach for “Art and Power”, a group of adults with learning difficulties and conducted the first performance of “The Portway Opera” at the world renowned Bristol Old Vic Theatre. Her recorded solo vocals for the world premiere of revered playwright Arnold Wesker’s critically acclaimed drama “Denial” were featured at Bristol’s Old Vic Theatre in the UK. She performed as a soloist in 2007 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Boston, and in May 2006 at Boston Opera House, MA with the Woodvale String Quartet.
